Jeff Schwarz

BIO
Jeff Schwarz currently lives and works in Pittsburgh, PA. His work has received critical attention from Blake Gopnik for Blouin ArtInfo and Artnet, and Roberta Smith for the New York Times. His work was featured in Hyperallergic in 2016, and was included in the 2017 New American Paintings Northeast issue #128. In 2019, Schwarz was commissioned to produce an 8' x 28' ceramic piece at the Pittsburgh, PA Facebook office. His work has appeared in international publications, collections, and exhibitions from New York to Seoul and many places between. Recent notable solo exhibitions have been held at Owen James Gallery (NY, NY), Outlet (Brooklyn, NY), and Revision Space (Pittsburgh, PA). He has also been deeply involved with the ceramics community for decades, exhibiting at Icheon World Ceramic Center, Kyunggi Do (Korea), NCECA (Richmond, VA), Clay Art Center (Port Chester, NY), and Clay Place (Pittsburgh, PA) among others. He has taught ceramics courses at  the Clay Art Center, SUNY Oswego, Braddock Carnegie Arts Program at Braddock Carnegie Library, Community College of Allegheny County, PA, Syracuse University, NY, and Slippery Rock University, PA.
