Christine Mahoney (born 1988, Boston, Massachusetts) lives and makes in Los Angeles, CA. Her work considers the monotony that we can experience in our daily lives, as well as how we seek to transcend and find respite from the everyday. She also explores how growth (both controlled and uncontrolled), individual circumstance (i.e., one’s physical well-being, economic status, etc.), and one’s broader environmental and political climate, can impact output and legacy. Tough subjects are in the work, but much like life, it doesn’t always take itself seriously.
